Assessment and treatment of back and neck pain, peripheral joint issues and injuries, sporting injuries and post-operative conditions.

Biomechanical assessments are available to assess muscle imbalances and postural issues.

Treatment sessions consist of extensive hands-on techniques such as joint mobilisation, soft tissue massage and dry needling. The manual therapy is complimented with specific home exercise programs based on clinical Pilates exercises and evidenced based research.

DANCE INJURY
& PRE-POINT ASSESMENT

My specialty is one-on-one treatment from someone who understands the dancer’s body, with extensive experience including living in New York working on Riverdance on Broadway, The Cunningham Company and Mikhail Baryshnikov and the White Oak Company.

Pre-pointe assessments are available and provide a safe transition to dancing en pointe after strength and weakness deficits are identified and addressed.

Screening is also available for dancers to identify faulty biomechanics relevant to dance and help prevent injury.

Assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of dance injuries.

Pilates Stretches

PILATES BASED EXERCISE CLASSES.

I have been running Pilates based exercise classes for the last 10 years at The Australian Academy of Dance in Malvern East. These classes have evolved to address common postural issues, balance deficits and weakness in core muscles and prime mover musculature. A small community has developed around the classes of people who care about looking after themselves and staying in touch with a coffee after.
